I hope this year is treating you well, I just wanted to let you know I've launched a new kickstarter campaign for my latest deck, Green Glyphs! It hit the funding goal yesterday, but I wanted you all to have a chance to be included in this campaign while there are so many free goodies included and as we reach towards stretch goals. :)

If you've been struggling to overcome the elaborate game manual and play Open Portals with your friends, help is here!
In order to break down some of the layers of Open Portals, we’ve created a video to guide you through your first few games. I was hoping to release this video sooner but it took a few months to make. I created it entirely in virtual reality using Tilt Brush and each scene was filmed in VR and then edited in post production.
Hopefully this video clears up any confusion you've had trying to learn the game!

Hello backers!
I hope you all have been well the past few months. All rewards went out at the end of January and should have been received by now, if you haven't gotten your reward or you think there has been an error please let us know and send an email to [email protected]
In post-kickstarter news, we collaborated with Jar Joy Goods here in Los Angeles and had some beautiful custom boxes made that perfectly fit 6 - 12 Open Portals decks. They also have two slots that fit the two manuals. If you're looking for something to display your decks in we've got these up in the shop now!
Also, if there is a shop in your hometown that you think would be a good fit for Open Portals we're looking for retailers around the world to start carrying decks.
Lastly, I've been working on the 'how to play' Open Portals video for the past few months, it's nearing completion and I will post it here when it's up as well as on the Open Portals site.

Shipping Update #4

Yesterday we received the final batch of gilded decks in house. It took a long long long long time but everything is now here! We're sending out a batch of orders today and then the final batch most likely on Monday or Tuesday.
If you're moving on the 1st and haven't gotten your deck send an email to [email protected] with your new shipping address and we'll get it sorted.
Also, if you are regretting not getting anything, the remainder of the Open Portals merch will be going up in the shop today at 12PM Pacific Time at www.jamesreadsmerch.com. We won't be shipping any of these orders out until all of the kickstarter orders have been cleared.
