I'm going to start sending out the backer reward surveys shortly. Please remember to fill these out! This is where you will select the variants you want as well as fill out your shipping information. 

Below you will find the different variant options to help make your decisions. I'll need a good percentage of responses to have an idea of how many gilded decks to order, so please respond within a timely manner. 

The Final Day: Ace of Spades Pin Unlocked!

 We made it to $70K with still a day to go! 

All backers who pledge towards a deck or higher* will get an Ace of Spades enamel pin with their pledge. 

This means  with a pledge towards a deck or higher you're now getting:

• a game manual
• an oracle manual
• a 5" x 7" limited edition screenprint of the Ace of Diamonds
• an Ace of Spades enamel pin
• and if you've pledged above $40 you'll also get the sticker sheet!

I am really grateful for all of you helping to make this project such a success. I'm excited to get the files to the printer and start seeing some of this magic in physical form. 

When the campaign ends I'll start sending out backer surveys. This is where you will fill out your shipping information as well as which variants you want. It's really important to fill this survey out, or I won't have any way of knowing where your order is going and what you want! 

The sooner everyone can answer the surveys the sooner I can get the numbers to the printer.

We hit our next stretch goal! 

Now all backers who pledge for an Open Portals Deck or higher* will receive a FREE 5"x 7" screenprint of the ace of diamonds!

If you are unfamiliar with my prints this will be a great introduction. My small yet brilliant studio team prints everything in my studio in Los Angeles, which ensures the highest quality prints.

 "Light Magic" is a 5" x 7" four color screenprint with a fifth metallic gold layer on Coventry Rag paper with hand torn deckled edges. Prints will be hand signed and numbered and will ship flat with your the rest of your pledge in a little bit larger than expected box. 

Thank you for pushing this project even further, your support is truly greatly appreciated. We've got about three days left of the campaign, who knows, maybe we'll make it to the next goal!

First Look: Open Portals for Oracles

We're about to reach our next stretch goal! All Open Portals decks will come with the 'how to open portals' manual AND an additional manual 'open portals for oracles'!

This is the exclusive first look at the additional manual. Within the manual you will find a short introduction and four suggested spreads to use in conducting readings as well as meanings behind all 56 cards. Much like the game manual, this manual will fold down to a compact Poker Size and when unfolded will expand to a double sided 10" x 30" manual!

The four suggested spreads relate to each of the different Magic Aces. In each spread, the respected ace is removed from the deck and is used as the centerpiece of the reading. 

For Example, in "THE MOUNTAIN PATH" the reader would pull out the Ace of Spades. and place it down on the table in front of them. The deck is then shuffled five times and split into five piles face down as shown in the diagram above. The top cards are then revealed in order. At the top of the spread are the two cards that relate closest to your foundation on this journey. The first card is your true foundation on the path you are on, the second card marks the beginning or start of your journey. The third card represents the obstacle you will or do face. The fourth card is symbolic of the solution to this obstacle and the final card shows the outcome were you to alter the course and follow the solution.

Much like a tarot deck, Open Portals can be used for meditation, clarity and divinations. It can be used in all classic tarot readings like the "Past Present Future" or "The Celtic Cross".  Each numerical card was created following an overarching story or theme: 

The bulk of the manual is  comprised of detailed meanings behind each of the 56 cards. Readers can use the manual when conducting readings as reference.

This is just the first draft of the manual and it will continue to expand but I am very excited to be able to share the first stages of it with all of you. Thank you again for being a part of this project and making it a reality. I am ecstatic to see its evolution. 

Open Portals for the Darkside

I’ve done some thinking this past weekend about aspects of this project that are important to me (and taking into account what I think I’ve been hearing from all of you) and I would really like to see the darkside deck happen most. We might not reach our stretch goal of  $75,000 and but I would still like to make the darkside deck regardless, so I’ve made a few adjustments to the stretch goals to accommodate the darkside edition now and both editions of the deck will just be smaller than anticipated. I would rather put some of my own money into the project to see the darkside deck happen than to not have it at all. So please spread the word on this campaign - we’ve got about a week left and still have time to meet some of these stretch goals and it will help with the production cost of the new deck.

A few changes to the stretch goals:

- The Oracle Guide is now at $57,000. Some of you have been asking about the possibility of getting the guide printed even if we don’t reach the goal. The answer to this is also yes, it won’t be a free add-on but they will still be produced as much of the writing for it is already finished. 

- The free print has moved up to $62,000. In order to afford the darkside deck production I had to push the free add-ons up. I still think we can make it to this stretch goal. 

- The enamel pin is now at $75,000 and will come with all pledges if we make it to this goal.

So to recap:

If you would like both the Original and Darkside decks you can pledge for "Two Open Portals" at the $44 level.

If you'd like all four variations (Original + Gold Edges, Original + Red Edges, Darkside + Gold Edges and Darkside + Red Edges) you can pledge towards "Four Open Portals" at the $88 level.

You can mix and match once backer surveys are sent out and select which deck variations you want!
