Open Portals Production Update

Hello Everyone! 

Sorry for the lack of recent updates, we've been spending this summer preparing everything for production and there hasn't been too much to update on yet - All aspects of the project are now in production and we're on track to hopefully start shipping out rewards in November. This timing might change depending on how long the gilding process takes for the cards: This can sometimes take anywhere from 4 - 8 weeks depending on the size of the project and the gilding colors, so there is still some wiggle room as far as delivery dates are concerned. But I will be posting updates as products start coming in and we get closer to November. 

We just got the batch of pins and stickers in and I am very pleased with how they turned out. The pins look amazing, they are hard enamel gold pins with really fine detail and will come on custom backing cards. 

The sticker sheets also look great and will be completed with gold foil embossed hang tags. (Yes there are four bonus circle stickers on each sticker sheet too!) 

 I'll be back with more updates as new things start coming in. Thank you for your patience, I'm really excited for you all to start receiving your rewards later this fall!

Thank you all for filling out your surveys so quickly! It's very exciting to see which deck variants and prints everyone is getting. 

There are still around 200 of you who have yet to fill out the BackerKit survey, if you have not filled it out yet please do so as soon as you can! (sent via email) 

The files are being sent over to the printer today and it would be helpful to get a close count on the Red Gilded edges.

If you wanted to add on to your pledge it's not too late, you can still edit your orders in the BackerKit store for the next month or so.

BackerKit surveys are coming to your email inboxes!

It’s important to respond to your survey as quickly as you can since we need this information to fulfill your rewards.

You don’t need to create a BackerKit account to fill out your survey. When you receive the email with the survey, click the survey link to respond. Answer the questions about your reward preferences, provide shipping information, and purchase add-on items if you like. 

If you need to review your information or pledge status: you can return to your survey by clicking the link in your survey email or requesting your survey link under "Lost your survey?" on our BackerKit project page at https://openportals.backerkit.com.

If you used your Facebook credentials to log in to your Kickstarter account: the BackerKit survey is sent to the email address you use for your Facebook account. If you have another email address that you prefer to use, please contact support at https:// openportals.backerkit.com/faq.

If you filled out a Kickstarter survey that I accidentally sent last week: it is important for you to fill the BackerKit survey out. These are the surveys we will use to fulfill rewards.

While we're waiting for the new BackerKit surveys to be built, here's a look at the difference between the Original and Darkside card backs to help with your decisions. If you pledged for one deck but now would like both you'll be able to add another deck during your survey process.  

If you missed the last update: If you have already received a survey, please disregard! I will be sending new surveys via BackerKit where you will be able to add to your pledge and have a much more user friendly experience!

After hearing from many of you about wanting to add on to your pledges post-campaign, and realizing how clunky the Kickstarter backer surveys are, and how complex this will be on our end, I've decided to use BackerKit for surveys and post-kickstarter customer support.

BackerKit is where you will answer your NEW surveys and fill out your shipping information. You’ll also be able to add-on to your pledge and adjust your pledges. It's very user friendly and It’s also going to make things waaaay easier on our end as far as fulfillment goes, giving us simplified and itemized invoices. Which only means you’ll get your rewards even sooner.

I jumped the gun on sending out some of the surveys yesterday, so please disregard if you got one/have already filled one it. First, Kickstarter needs to transfer over the funds so we have the money to make the rewards (this can take up to two weeks). If you are having issues with your credit card you will be able to fix all of that with BackerKit. 

I’ll be put out another update once the BackerKit reward surveys are ready. It will likely be around the two week mark after the campaign end date. This won't delay anything on the production side (I'm going to be spending the next few weeks finalizing artwork anyways)

I'll give you a heads-up before we send the survey so that you can watch for it. You don’t need to create a BackerKit account to answer your survey. The invitation will come via email and contains a link to your personal survey. It is important to submit your responses as quickly as you can since we need this information to process your rewards.

If you need to change your survey responses, purchase add-on items, or update your shipping information, you will be able to do so in BackerKit.
